As cute as seeing dogs in costumes are, seeing stressed out ones is not. The amount of dogs I saw over the weekend that were pulling on their leash, getting scared by larger costumes/props/loud noises, and overall being a nuisance was crazy. The faire is already overstimulating for people, I couldn’t imagine how bad it is for a dog. On top of that, it’s a liability! There are tons of kids running around, other animals, and flammable things. If a dog gets loose or someone loses control of it, there’s a lot that could go wrong. Just, keep your pets at home unless you have 100% control of them 🐶 #michiganrenaissancefestival #renaissancefestival #renaissance #michigan
