Getting charged $500 PER fire truck after someone else SWATTED you is CRAZY 😭🇨🇦 Ottawa streamer Tiagz shared footage of an interaction with emergency responders after his Airbnb was reportedly targeted by multiple fake emergency calls, commonly referred to as “swatting.” In the clip, Tiagz is told the fire department was treating the latest call as frivolous and that he could be sent a bill for the fire trucks that responded, with $500 per truck being discussed. The situation quickly sparked debate online, with viewers questioning why the person allegedly being targeted by the false calls could potentially face the cost of the emergency response instead of whoever made the calls. Others also questioned why the person behind the alleged swatting calls hasn’t been identified, while some raised concerns that billing victims could give trolls another way to financially target streamers.
