We’ve been preaching gentle parenting for years, but let’s not forget: gentle parenting does NOT mean raising a child who has no boundaries or consequences. Some children naturally respond well to gentle parenting, while others need much more structure, supervision and firm boundaries. Every child is different. Because honestly… tell me how my child would be able to use my card to spend over £2,000 on a Roblox subscription and I’m just supposed to say, “Well, gentle parenting.” I’m not saying I’m a perfect parent — far from it. But there are certain things I see on the internet and genuinely cannot relate to. I’d be asking myself: How did we even get here? And let’s be honest, there are usually little things that happen before something this big. Maybe they bought something small before and nobody noticed. Maybe boundaries weren’t clear. Maybe they tested the limits and realised there were no real consequences. Gentle parenting should still come with boundaries, accountability, supervision and teaching children right from wrong. Parent better. Set the boundaries. Teach them. Correct them. Love them. Because gentle doesn’t mean permissive. #gentleparenting #parenting101 #roadblockchallenge #modernparenting #roblox
