LUCIEN AND THE APPLE — PART 2 🍎 I think this might be one of my favorite little Elain & Lucien moments so far. 🤍 Because the apple was never really the problem, was it? 😂 She’s so distracted by him that she completely misses his question, looks at his lips for a little too long… and then realizes that Lucien noticed everything. The tiny smile. The “I asked if you wanted more apples.” Her immediate need to escape. I love it. And there’s something about Elain that I really hope we never lose in the next book: her femininity, her softness, her delicacy, her innocence. I would love to see those qualities become part of her strength rather than something she has to grow out of. I think there’s so much power in allowing a female character to remain deeply feminine, gentle and tender while still becoming incredibly strong in her own way. And Elain’s innocence and slightly different way of seeing the world could make her story so much fun. Especially with Lucien. I have a feeling the way these two understand the world might be more similar than we expect. Anyway… I already know exactly what happens in Part 3, and I’m ridiculously excited to create it 🤍 I have so many ideas for these two.
