RHYSAND, CASSIAN AND AZRIEL AT THEIR WINTER HOME Just Rhysand, Cassian and Azriel at home… and somehow a normal conversation turns into all three of them knowing far too much about each other. It starts with Rhysand sitting with his whisky, unusually distracted — which, of course, Cassian notices immediately. The second Rhys admits that he met someone, Cassian knows there is a story there. Especially when Rhys confesses that he may have said something slightly regrettable. Then Azriel, who has been quietly reading and listening, casually asks: “Was it from a book?” Because apparently they know Rhysand a little too well. 😂 But Rhys quickly decides that if his romantic life is open for discussion, then Azriel’s should be too. And that’s when Cassian puts the pieces together. “Red hair. Blue eyes?” That tiny pause. Azriel looking up from his book. That almost imperceptible smile before simply answering: “Maybe.” I LOVE that he doesn’t deny it. The smallest possible confirmation before going straight back to his book as though he hasn’t revealed everything. But maybe my favorite part is Cassian. He spends the whole conversation interrogating Rhys and teasing Azriel while very conveniently saying absolutely nothing about himself. Because what neither of them knows is that Cassian has also met a girl. More than once. And while he’s investigating everyone else’s love life, he’s keeping his own little story completely to himself. Which feels VERY Cassian to me. 😂 Three brothers. Three girls. Three very different ways of dealing with whatever is beginning. I definitely need to continue this one. 🤍 P.S. Yes, Cassian’s hair is shorter and more brown than usual here. 😂 Let’s say he tried something new at the hairstylist to surprise Nesta, immediately regretted it, and will be going back to his long, almost-black hair. Definitely not an AI mistake. Obviously. 😌
