If your car finance has a balloon payment of more than 20%, I would seriously question whether you can actually afford that car. A big balloon can make the monthly instalment look affordable but you are simply pushing a large portion of the cost to the end. Do not let a lower monthly instalment convince you that you can afford a car you actually can’t.
