Adobe's deeply ironic and funny thing just happened and if you've ever used Adobe tools I need you to lock in for like two minutes here. So as it turns out the dark future that all these companies have wanted for so long, the whole vibe code everything sort of future is here but it finally has a consequence for these companies and one of the first victims it seems is going to be Adobe. It turns out some engineers were able to using Claude Opus fully reverse engineer and open source all of Adobe's tools. The entire suite. Check this out. This is Photocraft. It is their equivalent for Adobe Photoshop. Now I've used Photoshop for literally decades and this is not some sort of like partial slop coded implementation. It is a one to one reproduction and it runs perfectly. It's built in Rust. It's got all your layer controls, it's got gradients and swatches and everything else. Every single one of the filters is compatible with it. Liquify, lens correction, vanishing point, all this stuff is in here and it's free. So congratulations companies. You wanted a vibe coded future where you didn't have to worry about having highly paid expert engineers to be able to do things for you. Turns out people don't need you either. Good luck finding another revenue stream. I wonder what tool they'll do next.
