Just a reminder that Android is about to become a locked down platform and not the open, free operating system that everyone thinks it is. It’s already happened in 4 countries and is coming out to more soon, but the latest Android developer rules are starting to hit that make things way harder for people to install what they want on their phones. Either the app devs have to be registered with Google themselves, or if you want ot install apps from unverified developers, you have to request that from your phone and then wait 24 hours before it lets you do what you can currently easily do. It’s expected to hit most countries sometime next year, and this is just the start of how Google is rolling things out to keep Android users “safe”.
