You would have to be LUCKY to not have back pain if these are weak and tight. Pay attention to the muscles in this video. 1. Spinal erectors hold up your spine under load. 2. QLs keep your pelvis level side to side and stabilized. 3. Deep abdominals brace your spine like a built in weightlifting belt. 4. Hip flexors move your leg without dragging your lower back with it. 5. Hip rotators let your hips turn so your lower back does not have to unnecessarily twist for them. Every one of these muscle groups attaches to your lower back or sits right next to it. You would never expect a tree to be sturdy on weak roots. So why would you expect your lower back to be pain free when everything supporting it is untrained? The trunk gets blamed, but the roots are the problem. Get them strong and mobile and you take luck out of the equation. Start slow, at your own pain free level, and never stop chasing more pain free ability. That’s the whole game. You have so much more potential than you think.
