Udemy

Why it worked

The video uses a relatable 'day-in-the-life' challenge format that gamifies the learning process, making the platform's utility clear and engaging without feeling like a traditional advertisement.

Summary

The creator documents an afternoon spent completing multiple online certification courses on the Udemy platform. The video tracks the time and progress of each course, culminating in the successful acquisition of three certificates.

Structure

1Introduction to the challenge of earning certificates
2Completing a FEMA course on Udemy
3Taking a break and returning to the platform
4Completing a forensic science course
5Completing a cloud hacking course
6Final tally of certificates earned

Product placement

Udemy (a) ACTS: the interface is operated to complete courses and earn certificates. Removing it would change the video as it is the platform where the activity takes place. FEMA (a) ACTS: the interface is operated to complete a course. Removing it would change the video as it is the platform where the activity takes place.
