Is it better to speak or to die? I should have resigned sooner. There. I said it. 10 years in healthcare. A First Class Honours degree. A career in anaesthetics I was SO proud of. And I kept telling myself I was just tired. Until I was the one in the hospital gown. The irony of spending your career looking after everybody else while ignoring what your own body is telling you… I didn’t hate healthcare. I just wish I’d realised sooner that I was allowed to choose a different life. You don’t have to wait for a hospital appointment
