FPV kamikaze drone is a small first-person-view drone fitted with an explosive payload and flown on a one-way mission. The pilot wears goggles that stream live video from the drone's camera, so they see exactly what the drone sees and steer it manually all the way into the target. Most are built from the same parts as racing and freestyle drones, which makes them cheap, fast and easy to produce in large numbers. A drone that costs a few hundred dollars can take out equipment worth many times more, and that shift has turned FPV drones into one of the defining weapons of the war in Ukraine.
