Just to clarify a few things!! When I said no weekends or holidays, I meant no major holidays 😭 For my per diem position, I only have to work 3 shifts every 6 weeks (2 weekdays + 1 weekend shift) and 2 hallmark holidays a year (like Halloween or Super Bowl Sunday). I still pick up full time hours usually scheduling myself (M-W). I don’t need to do every third weekend or mandatory 2 Monday/ 2Friday shifts in a schedule period. And yes, the hourly pay is higher!! Obviously, every hospital has different requirements, but I’m specifically talking about med-surg because that’s all I have experience with! And from what I’ve seen, med-surg units are usually always in need of nurses 🫶🏼 So sad to leave per diem 😭😭😔 #perdiem #medsurg #nurse #nursing #nurseadvice
