Why it worked
The creator successfully piggybacked on a trending news topic within their niche to introduce a competitor product, framing the recommendation as a helpful solution to the viewer's frustration.
Summary
The video uses a meme format to discuss the controversy surrounding Character.ai's potential bankruptcy and privacy concerns. The creator uses this news to pivot to a recommendation for an alternative AI platform called Yapp-ai.
Structure
- 1Use of a viral meme to capture attention
- 2Statement of the current controversy regarding Character.ai
- 3Recommendation of Yapp-ai as a superior alternative
- 4Call to action to visit the Yapp-ai website
Product placement
Character.ai (c.ai) appears as the subject of the news/drama. Chai appears as a potential buyer/competitor in the caption. Yapp-ai (chaimax) is recommended in the caption as an alternative. Removing these names would change the topic of the video and caption entirely. Yapp-ai is being promoted as a solution to the user's problem.
Call to action
If you want a good chai like alternative with less greed try Yapp-ai(chaimax) on web

Original caption
It gets even more crazier with the c.ai drama: 40 U.S. Attorneys general demand protections for private CharacterAi Chats before any sale is made. This means unwanted chats have to be deleted. First the bankruptcy, then Chai owner thinking of buying cai and now this. Nothing confirms our chats haven't been sold already 😭 If you want a good chai like alternative with less greed try Yapp-ai(chaimax) on web😭✌️ #bankruptcy #cai #chai #alternative #characterai
