Chikyo

Why it worked

The video combines a local discovery hook with a clear, actionable discount strategy, making the viewer feel like they are getting an 'insider' deal on a viral product.

Summary

The creator announces the opening of a new Chikyo location in Tanjung Priok and demonstrates how to use a TikTok deal to get a discounted Monster XL Chicken Stick. She guides viewers on how to find the location and redeem the voucher before visiting.

Structure

1Announcement of new location
2Visual tour of the storefront
3Showcase of the product size and flavor
4Instruction on how to redeem the discount deal

Product placement

(a) Chikyo: The brand acts as the subject of the video; the creator demonstrates the product (Monster XL Chicken Stick), shows the location, and provides instructions on how to redeem a discount deal for it. Removing this would change the entire video. (b) TikTok: Appears as the platform for the deal and the video host; removing it would not change the core product promotion.
