Moments later, he asks another shopper, Jack, who warmly and without hesitation offers a bag of chips from his own cart simply because someone was hungry. Revealing the true nature of the experiment, the creator rewards Jack's genuine kindness by paying for his entire $80 grocery bill on the spot. Seeing the cash reward, the first woman quickly wheels her cart back and tries to offer bananas and cookies to get her own groceries paid for, only to get served an immediate lesson in karma: kindness counts when it comes from the heart, not when money is on the line.
