🥎 If you’re injured, are you still expected to show up for your team? Your value to your team should NEVER be determined solely by what you can contribute on the field. You might not be able to swing a bat, throw a ball, or make a play, but you can still make an IMPACT. 👏 Be the loudest voice in the dugout. 🥎 Encourage a teammate after a tough at-bat. 💪 Help your teammates prepare between innings. 🧠 Study the game, learn from your coaches, and grow your softball IQ. ❤️ Show your teammates that you’re invested in THEIR success, even when you can’t contribute to your own stats. Being injured doesn’t mean you stop being a teammate. In fact, sometimes the greatest lessons in leadership, selflessness, and character happen when you’re NOT the one playing. Now, I understand that some injuries require rest, recovery, or staying home. Your health ALWAYS comes first. But if you’re healthy enough to attend, I believe there is tremendous value in showing up. Because being part of a team isn’t just about what the team can do for YOU. It’s about what YOU can give to the team. Your role might change, but your responsibility to your teammates doesn’t disappear. Coaches and parents, what are your expectations for injured athletes attending tournaments? #SoftballWithMargo #TravelSoftball #SoftballCoach #TeamCulture #SoftballLife
