Hook
I just had a dog die during my photo shoot. Um, I'm recording this now. I don't know if I'm going to share it. This was the most crazy thing that's ever happened to me as a 10+ years as a pet photographer. Um, we had just started the session. We were walking to a bench. She's been going through chemo. Um, we noticed the the bench was not far away. It was a one and a half maybe two minute walk from where we were, where we parked. Um, she was walking and she started getting a little lopsided. She was excited at first, she was trying to run and her mom was trying to keep her calm. Um, and then she just started getting a little wobbly. She fell over. Um, she, uh, defecated. She was on the ground. We were both on the ground with her. Um, she's begging and pleading for her not to go. Um, and it was about three to five minutes, I don't know, time stood still. Um, and she was laying there. She stopped breathing. It seemed like she had passed away. Um, and then she took a huge breath and started breathing again. It was crazy. And then it took a couple minutes for her to come to. And then she started breathing fine again and her little tail started wagging. And she didn't die. Ha ha. I don't. I don't know. Mom's a vet, luckily. Um, so we had somebody else that was in the park help us carry her to the car. Um, she was wagging her tail. She got in the car in her bed and mom just left to take her to her office. And that was the craziest thing that's ever happened to me on a photo shoot. I'm waiting for her, um, you know, obviously, to give me an update, but this just happened. I don't know if I'm going to share this. Um, I guess it depends on the outcome. Um, while she was laying there with her, after we both kind of looked at each other like, wow, um, we needed to give her a couple minutes before we stood her up and brought her back to the car. And mom was just laying with her and talking to her and, um, kind of lifting our spirits back up a little bit. Um, and I just asked her, I said, you know, you mind if I go over here and just take a couple pictures while you're sitting there with her? And of course she didn't mind. Um, so I, I was able to get a couple shots. Um, and then once we felt like she was good to go, she actually stood up on her own and we were like, whoa, whoa, whoa, that's a little too much right now, considering what just happened. Um, yeah. So, I guess, hopefully if I do share this video, it's followed with an update. A positive, happy update.
