One of my favorite things about welcoming new dogs is watching them learn our little routines. They see their new friends getting comfortable, finding their favorite beds, and settling in for the night. And then they learn something pretty special. Every single one gets their own goodnight, I love you, and I'll see you in the morning. I think that's what makes a different kind of shelter so beautiful. It's not just about saving their lives. It's about surrounding them with peace, friendship, comfort, and love while they're here. They don't have to wait for forever to feel like they belong.
