Every one of these beautiful souls has a different story. Some were abandoned, some lost their families, and others were saved from euthanasia lists. Most didn't even know each other before coming here. And now look at them. Learning to share space, respect each other, make friends and enjoy the little moments of life. Their pasts may explain some of their fears, but they don't define their worth. Give them time, patience, peace and love, and let them discover how beautiful life can still be. I wish every shelter in America could feel like a home, where being homeless doesn't mean putting happiness on hold. A different kind of shelter.
