So we started to get back in our car and the agent ran over and you know she was like what are you guys doing and I said well look at your phone. And when she looked at her phone she started to explain that there were previous black tenants in the neighborhood and that they had caused a lot of trouble and I talked to her and said what does that have to do with us? Attorney Ken Molins has filed a lawsuit the couple says they are not looking for money but for their story to be told. No comment. This is what's going on on the island in 2026. We have to do better as human beings not black not white not Hispanic. Everybody has to do better. All right? I'm out.

And people wonder why we continue having conversations about racism on Long Island! 💔 Imagine looking for a home and receiving a text from a real estate agent saying, “Ugh, they’re Black.” SMH! This right here is heartbreaking and absolutely unacceptable! A Black couple trying to find a place to call home should NEVER have to experience this type of treatment. This is exactly why I continue speaking about racism, discrimination, and inequality in housing on Long Island and surrounding communities. People love to say racism doesn’t exist anymore, but situations like this remind us why these conversations are still necessary. Your skin color should NEVER determine where you’re welcomed, where you can live, or how you’re treated. My heart goes out to this couple. Nobody deserves to feel unwanted simply because they’re Black.
