NBA 2K27 has topped the global sales charts to become the best-selling video game of 2026, surpassing Resident Evil Requiem, 007 First Light, and Crimson Desert. The achievement is notable given the significant backlash the game faced at launch over its $149.99 Ultra Edition pricing, which made it more expensive than GTA 6’s Ultimate Edition and sparked widespread criticism online. But, none of it seem to dent the sales.
