Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news for this one, but we just witnessed the largest robbery in human history. The world's largest crypto exchange, Binance, was just hacked with over $5.6 billion dollars stolen. Now, this all happens as AI continues to grow at a rapid pace. Now, Elon Musk just came out and said, "Everyday is zeroday," effectively saying that anything that can be hacked will be hacked. Now, so far, the total outflows as part of this hack are sitting around $5.9 billion dollars. And the Binance founder, CZ, said it appears as though total hacked funds exceed $1 billion. And you can see the Binance hacker here, $5.9 billion dollars. Now, as of about two and a half hours ago, the Binance founder says it looks like a hack on Binance. I don't manage Binance anymore, but as a shareholder, I expect all user funds will be fully covered. And this is what the former head of product at X had to say about it. And now, what does funds are SAFU mean? Well, back in 2018, Binance put in place the Secure Asset Fund for Users, which is basically insurance for when things like this happen. Now, it's valued at approximately $1 billion in Bitcoin, with a commitment from Binance to replenish if the value drops below $800 million dollars. So, now the question is, is that going to cover all of this? And is this going to be the first of many hacks? Will this erode the trust of crypto holders? I know it definitely makes you a little nervous. Now, of course, time will tell, but I think as AI continues to advance, things like this are going to be a whole lot more frequent.
