The closest airport isn’t always the cheapest airport. ✈️ When we’re booking flights for our family of 4, I don’t just search the airport closest to home. I check larger airports we’re willing to drive to and compare the TOTAL cost. Gas + parking + extra drive time all matter — but if driving a few hours saves $100 per ticket, that’s $400 back in our travel budget. And sometimes the difference is even bigger.
