I shared earlier tonight that I like to believe our loved ones in heaven still have jobs to do. And every time I have to leave one of my sweet souls at an animal hospital, when they tell me I can't stay any longer, I pray that someone I love in heaven will take my place. Maybe it's an angel, maybe it's an old friend, or maybe it's someone I've never even met. But I imagine them sitting right beside Nala tonight, gently holding her, telling her how very loved she is, how much she's needed here on Earth, and reminding her that it's not her time yet. Because the hardest part of leaving is knowing she doesn't understand why I can't stay. So tonight, I'm asking heaven to send someone to sit with my beautiful girl until I can hold her again. Just so she knows she's not alone, not even for a moment. And thankfully, our sweet girl is a little more comfortable tonight. She's still receiving 40% oxygen, which is helping keep her oxygen saturation in the 90s, and her color is good. The doctors want to keep her at that level until they reassess her tomorrow. Ashley will be there at 6:30 in the morning and will send an update when she arrives, so hopefully there will be more good news to share. It looks like Nala will need at least another two days in the hospital, which means approximately another $3,000 in medical expenses. If you're able to help with any amount, the donation Linktree is in the bio. And if you've already donated, shared her story, or kept her in your prayers, thank you so very much. Please keep praying for this beautiful girl because she has so much more living and loving to do. And now for the most amazing news. A wonderful foster family was just approved for Nala, and they sent a message saying how excited they are and how they cannot wait to cuddle this sweet girl. Oh, how that makes my heart happy. Somewhere out there is a family already waiting to hold her, love her, and give her the comfort of a real home. She just needs to get well enough to experience it. And please remember, just eleven days ago, Nala's family surrendered her to a high kill shelter to be euthanized. Eleven days ago, her life was almost over, and we scooped her up because we couldn't let that happen. And goodness, she is one of the most beautiful, gentle, loving souls you could ever meet. Please, God, give this precious girl the chance to know what it feels like to be part of a family that will never give up on her again. Let her get through this, let her little body heal, and let her have all those beautiful ordinary days that every dog deserves. There's a family waiting to love her, and so many people praying for her. Please let her have that chance.
