So first, um you would go to your county's bidding website. Um a lot of counties in Florida use realtaxdeed.com. Um my county is Polk, so I put Polk first, polk.realtaxdeed.com. And then you get to this screen and click register. Um they want your contact information, your mailing address, um pretty much the way you would register anywhere. Email, phone number, all that good stuff. Then they want you to put your name, um what you want to put on the title. Nickname, I pretty much put anything. Um now, login to your account. Read the, uh, important messages in the beginning and click okay. This is my dashboard. This is how your dashboard will look. And then I go over here to calendar, down to the date. Our date here in October is the 21st. Click here. And here's the list of all of the, uh, homes up for auction. This list gets kind of long. This will go about 10 pages. Um, a lot of houses. Next, when you find the house that you're interested in, copy the address. And then paste it here on Google. Um, I go to Zillow, Google Maps, Trulia to get a picture of the house. Um, this shows you it's a 3 bedroom 2 bath, so just pretty much take notes of all the information that you find out about this house. Um, its rent estimate is 192, um 1300 square feet. Please make note of all this, the comparable homes, what the homes are selling for in the area, so you get a feel for what your house will sell for. Um, and then I go here to my court, my county clerk of court. Um, I search the official records. I do my due diligence on the property. Um, I need to know everything about it. Once I figure everything out, go back to the site, back to the home, place my bid. This bid starts at $8,000. $8,210 actually. Um, so I'm going to bid at about 15,000. Um, please note that you need to put down a 5% deposit before your bid is actually accepted. Um, it will say accepted, but it will void all if you don't.
