My Car Was STOLEN On Turo

somebody stole my car on Turo. watch at the end of the video i'mma tell you how i handled it and how you can prevent it let's go. so back in September this guy named Shane booked my car Jeep Cherokee come to find out that wasn't even his name but he booked my car for a day. he checked in just like any other guest i got self check in so i got a lockbox you just put the lockbox code in verify your identity on the app and you can check in and take the car. everything seemed all cool till it's time to bring it back. so i started sending the communication messages when it was time to bring it back my first message. i usually sent to all my guests like hey you got 2 hours to drop it off la la la here's how you drop it off. the next message he wasn't responding so i'm like hey i haven't seen you drop it off la la la third message a hey you running late Turo will charge your account he just wasn't responding. now i'm like this motherfucker stole my car. i even text his phone that was on file which wasn't even his number cause he wasn't responding to that or answering the phone called Turo. they trying to call and we trying to track him down reminder my tracker on the car at the time was a portable tracker and I forgot to even put it on there so it's not even his fault he didn't even take it off. I just forgot that right there was my mistake but here's why I was not tripping at all. so once your car is considered stolen on Turo you put it in the police report in 30 days after that police support is put in if your car don't come back Turo pays you what your car is worth my car worth 40 $45,000 so i'm like go ahead take it. the ID he uploaded is actually a fake but i'mma blur it all out because this is actually somebody's real information that he stole and printed up on the ID. but here's where the story gets funny for real though. as we were trying to contact him and find the car he hit me up on Turo like hey I said yes he said did you get the car back I'm like no where is it he said he need 2k for the location. but who the who you think I am bro like keep that motherfucker I don't give a fuck. so I just put LOL he like deal or what I can send it somewhere else I'm like do what you please sir cause I don't care bro honestly I don't care. he like I'm a take it out of town you ain't gonna ever find it bro do it bro I don't care they gonna pay me I'm covered. long story short they found them the next day pulled them over 10 minutes from where they took the car from like what the what is you doing bro. so I end up getting the car back I had to pay the impound fees I had to pay for a speeding ticket that he got but Turo reimbursed me all that money and it gave me extra money for dude bullshit. now I could have had my tracker on there and I could have may have prevented it but it is what it is y'all don't make that mistake follow me for more let's go.
