Gervonta Davis no knockdown may be overturned according to the New York State Athletic Commission. They said it was a technical issue on why they instant replay in so now they are reviewing the matter and Gervonta's draw decision could turn into a contest or even a loss on his record. Lamont Roach took to Twitter and said, word round the block y'all fav fight finna be 30-1 not 30-0-1. 2X x 2 Division champ. Insinuating that they are about to give Gervonta Davis a loss on his record. Draw they go on to say if the referee Steve Willis followed the rules and called a knockdown, Roach would have won via decision. Instead, it was decided as a draw, with two judges scoring the fight 114-114 while a third scored it 115-113 for Davis. So we don't know exactly but they are looking into it and find sufficient evidence that it was actually a knockdown. Overturned and the outcome will be one of two things. Either Tank Davis first loss on his record or this will be a no contest. No contest is actually better than the draw decision that he currently has. If the fight is ruled a no contest, they're gonna erase the draw, erase the loss, erase the knee like the fight never happened. Instead of being 30-0 and 1 to 30 and 0, like nothing ever happened. And you see right here, suspended by New York State Athletic Commission until 2025-03-08, which is a few days from when I'm recording this video.
