REQUIRES YOU TO BECOME A BRAND. as much as I absolutely hate to say this as much as I've tried to get away from this for years you absolutely have to be able to perceive yourself in the 21st century as an individual brand and it actually doesn't even matter what you do for a living it actually doesn't even matter because this year Google has to fundamentally cannibalize its business that is search or the market's going to do it for them cannibalization is the process whereby an existing company comes out with a new product that eats up the revenue of its old product until the old product ceases to exist meaning the demand for the old product goes away and this is because AI is fundamentally changing the way we retrieve information from the Internet other than Google a question and receive a list of links that would take you to possible answers some of which are paid to be there you will be asking search that is powered by AI to retrieve the answer the answer the answer to retrieve the answer the answer the answer so AI will scrape the internet for a list of possible answers and then generate a composite answer that is the best answer to that question while it will footnote it and provide sources upon request it won't matter to the individual who created the original answer to that question there will be no protection for that content so if you advertise on the Internet today for your product or service and part of that advertisement comes from you educating your perspective clients and customers on your product or service you're going to have to find a new way to connect with your perspective customers because AI is going to take the best of your voice and deliver it to the user without ever attributing it to you as a person this is gonna require a major paradigm shift by a lot of people who think that people who create content on the internet are doing it because they wanna become creators they wanna become influencers they wanna make a name for themselves they wanna be famous and this is not the case this is just the price to transact today this is just how commerce is done you don't have to amass a huge following you don't have to become a charismatic personality you just have to understand that platforms like these are gonna become more and more important for your individual business even if it's a small business getting ahead of AI for a lot of people including myself means adopting new tools and being able to adapt to change but it also means knowing when to get out of the way of AI and start using other channels to do the thing you need to do
