Why it worked

The video uses the trending "girl math" meme to discuss a relatable financial topic (rent affordability), making it engaging and shareable. The use of on-screen text and a conversational tone also contributes to its appeal.

Summary

The video discusses the concept of "girl math" in relation to personal finance, specifically rent payments. The speaker explains that while "real math" might dictate that rent consuming 70% of income is unaffordable, "girl math" allows for a more flexible approach to living within one's means.
