This is your sign to start content in 2025 and let me be your social media coach. Step 1: post like you already have a following. Doesn't matter if your friend from high school's gonna see it, if your family's gonna see it. You just have to accept the fact that people are gonna hate and people are gonna make fun of you, but that is until you make it. Even though I only had a couple hundred followers, I was still posting like I was an influencer and a lot of people were making fun of me for it, but now that I have 100,000 and I make a full time living off of social media, I just hear silence. Also, if someone makes fun of you for putting yourself out there and pursuing a passion, it's usually because they're jealous and very envious that you're able to do that. So don't let that stop you. Step 2: consistency. Create a promise to yourself to post everyday, hold yourself accountable, put it in your habit tracker for the New Year. I posted three times a day because the only way you're gonna grow is if you're consistent. Step 3: start by posting about a challenge. Do a 30 day challenge, a 75 hard challenge. This will teach you how to get into the habit of consistently posting. I actually started this TikTok page by posting about the 75 hard challenge, so everyday for 75 days I posted a daily update on it. Step 4: get comfortable talking in front of the camera because that is the most important skill if you want to grow as a content creator. Even if you're posting everyday, you're not gonna grow if your videos suck and I know that I'm good at speaking to the camera because I practiced that skill for hours. That could just look like pretending to talk to the camera or just taking daily vlogs without the obligation of posting so that you just get more comfortable recording yourself and being authentic to the camera. Step 5: learn about the two types of content that are gonna help you grow. First type of videos are gonna help build your account and those are the trendy viral videos. Recreating trending content is gonna help get more eyes on your page which is gonna help your follower count increase. Second type of video is the "get to know me" videos like the "GRWMs" the more personal original content. These get to know me videos are gonna help build your community. So it might not go viral but it's just as important because it's going to help your followers get to know who you are and why they should follow you. Both of these types of videos are equally important and you should be posting a mix of them if you want to see successful growth. Step 6: don't look at engagement. If you just started out, you are not gonna see millions of views on your page right off the bat and that is okay. You can't let that stop you. You're not gonna become successful if the only thing you care about are the view numbers, the like numbers, the engagement. You should not fall in love with the numbers but fall in love with creating content. If you don't have a passion for it, you're probably not gonna succeed. I posted every single day for over a month before I even saw a semi viral video. Step 7: put your email in your bio. This should be the first step if you're gonna start taking content seriously because this is how you're gonna start working with brands and getting collaborations. Even if you only have a couple hundred followers, put your email in your bio. Quick side note, I just got the Dior rosy glow blush in shade rosewood and it is so good. Like do you guys see that pigment? Step 8: create a video inspo collection on TikTok of videos that you want to recreate, you are inspired by. The biggest way that I get inspiration for my content is other creators content. Obviously don't copycat them, don't do it word for word, just take inspiration. If you start off your journey by collecting video ideas, it's just gonna make creating content so much easier. I have countless TikTok saved collections, gym TikToks to make, college TikToks to make, social media advice TikToks to make, all these different kinds of videos that I like posting, I have a board for it. Step 9: explore lots of different kinds of niches and try to figure out what works for you. Don't box yourself into one niche from the beginning because you don't even know what you like posting yet. When I first started content, I just started posting about everything that was going on in my life. By experimenting with a lot of different kinds of videos, you can see what performs better, what gets better engagement, what you like creating better. It's just like a learning process. Step 10: the last step in this guide is to watch my other social media advice videos. I have a whole entire playlist. I know a lot about social media, I'm studying marketing and advertising, my whole job is social media. If you made it to the end of this video, comment the word "success" in my comment section because I wanna see how many of you guys are dedicated. Follow me for more social media advice and self improvement videos because I'm gonna be making a lot of that this year.
