This is how you are going to stop chat GPT sounding like a robot and it blows my mind how many people still haven't set this up you do everything in chat GPT using a custom GPT for this specific task so it's highly trained on my tone of voice on exactly what I want it's outputs to look like but if you're not doing that if you are just using Chat GPT on the mobile app or you're asking it for quick chat this is how you're gonna stop it from sounding like a robot and also remove those dreaded m-dashes which completely give away the fact that your content has been written by AI so here we are inside my chat GPT account this is a plus account but you can absolutely do this in the free versions all you wanna navigate to the top right hand corner I would do this on a desktop just so you can set the custom instructions easily and then you wanna go to Personalize and you're gonna see this window here so you can decide what you want chat GPT to call you some context on what it is that you do and then you can select here the traits that you want chat GPT to have and I would just for a starter use this prompt you're gonna say write like a human, not a robot. Avoid em dashes entirely. Use everyday language that feels friendly and clear. Vary sentence length to sound more natural. Use active voice. Break long ideas into short paragraphs. Add structure using headers and bullet points where helpful. Prioritise clarity and flow over formal tone. do not use emojis because I think that's another dead giveaway if you're copying pasting something really quickly from ChatGPT into something else then emojis as well as em dashes are absolute dead giveaways you can add any other context that you would like ChatGPT to know about you in this box here hit save and you're good to go
