Your ChatGPT searches can now be seen by everyone on Google. And here's how to stop that from happening. Be sure to save this video so your private information can no longer be seen by everyone on the internet. The first and easiest way to begin protecting your data is to stop shared links and you can do this by going into settings on ChatGPT, clicking data controls and turning all of these functions off. This will immediately give you a layer of protection you did not have before. Don't forget to also do this on your desktop version by going to that same data controls tab in settings, clicking on shared links and turning those off as well. Step two is going to be deleting any and all private chats so they can no longer be indexed at all. Step three is going to be Googling your name with this and if any results show up you know that your chats have been indexed in the past. But you can have them removed by deleting that chat itself and reaching out to Google to have it deindexed. This is your reminder that anything you put on ChatGPT is public, even if it feels private, so treat it like you're posting to social media.
