A YouTuber named Tim Dodd, also known as Everyday Astronaut, asked a question that led SpaceX to change Starship’s thruster design. Before, Starship used separate cold‑gas thrusters for maneuvering control. After Tim asked whether excess gas from the main hot‑gas engines could be repurposed, Elon Musk realized they might not need the cold‑gas system. Musk called this redesign one of the biggest improvements to the ship. The change reduces complexity, weight, and part count, which helps reliability and performance. In addition, Musk gave Tim Dodd a tour of the new Starfactory at the SpaceX Starbase facility in Texas. That factory is intended for large‑scale production of Starship components like the Raptor engines and boosters. Musk revealed that newer Raptor engines will include integral cooling circuits so they might fly without a separate heat shield. He also hopes the facility will allow production of many Starships a year — perhaps up to a hundred — and eventually scale even higher. Because of a good question, the design changed. Because of a good tour, transparency increased. And because of both, we see real improvements in Starship’s engineering and production. #elonmusk #billionaire #success #businessmindset #rich
