The spinning ball was introduced in the 1962 world fair it was to help bring attention to the union oil booth! They handed out so many 76 antenna ball toppers. It was so iconic. sadly in 2005 they decided to remove/ take down the spinning ball. most stopped working due to the mechanism breaking. I never thought I would see one again.
