If you're a startup founder, you should 100% use Claude Skills to work 10 times faster. I'll show you in under 60 seconds how I use skills to do the work of five people. I'm Pete. I own a product development agency in New York City, and over the last few decades I've worked with many startups and Fortune 500 companies bringing their products to market. If you asked me three weeks ago, monthly investor updates meant chasing down team members, reviewing JIRA tickets, asking my PMs exactly what got shipped. It took hours of work each month. Now I type "give me our monthly investor update" in Claude Code and it uses a skill I created and it does all the work. It goes straight to GitHub and it writes me a beautiful and accurate monthly update. No asking people, no BS, just raw commits and PRs. My investor update skill contains my exact workflow, and an investor update template, which Git branches to use, which types of progress to include and what to steer clear of. Everything is fully automated. So what is Claude skills? Well, skills lets you document any repetitive task once and then have Claude execute it perfectly every single time. To install it in Claude Code, just copy your skill into the skills folder in .claude and that's it. Claude automatically finds it and uses it. And what took three hours now takes two minutes. We're automating our Skills to run daily, weekly, and monthly. It saves our entire team dozens of hours. Some of my developers are using skills to create consistency with style guides across products, create unit tests, and really so much more. You should definitely use it.
