iPhones still don't have a universal back button. I've been sat here for an hour on this Android trying to find a problem with the back button, trying to figure out a reason why we don't really need the back button, but the universal back button on Android phones has been the topic of discussion for the last couple of days, but this raises the question, is it actually useful? Because that's what everyone says about Android features is, oh, you can do all this and that, but what's the point? None of it's stuff that I actually want to do. And I can tell you now, yeah, the universal back button is probably one of the most useful features in Android. Knowing that you can consistently gesture from the side of your screen across or the other side of your screen across or keep a button on the bottom of your screen to go back in any app, in any state of the phone is just a game changer. The only con I've personally seen is that some apps treat the back button in a non-optimized fashion. I generally will see this in social media where it's kind of obvious that the app was made for iPhone first, Android second, but other than that, the back button works just as expected. And it's one of those things you don't realize you need or is not intuitively a valuable feature until you have it. Just like the clipboard, which is another basic feature that I feel like iPhone should have picked up on by now, but it doesn't look like they have. And I have the credentials to say this because I came from iPhone and I didn't think it was going to be worth it to begin with, but it's been so useful.
