Almost switched back to iPhone. Making the switch from Apple was one of the most frustrating processes I've been through in terms of tech. I've built some habits having an iPhone for 10 years that I didn't even realize. Because Apple makes you so used to relying on them and having the phone do everything for you, that you're kind of overwhelmed with the amount of customizability and functionality that's available on Android. What do you mean my text messages don't have to be one color? What do you mean I can do this to my wallpaper? I can customize my widgets. I can change whatever I want. What do you mean there's settings inside my settings? Coming from the iPhone, this customizability was so overwhelming, I didn't even know what to do with the phone. And because I was overwhelmed, I turned off half of the things that would have made the quality of life better. I left the theme default. I turned off the edge panel. I didn't even put any color palettes on the phone. And I was literally gripping my iPhone for the first month in my other pocket, just in case I got even more frustrated. Then I watched a couple tutorials, I downloaded Good Lock on the phone and I customized it exactly how I like the phone to be customized. And I can honestly say now, I can never go back to iPhone, at least as my main phone. You can customize different gestures, you can customize the edge panel to work in different ways. I literally disabled the edge panel because I thought it brought no value and it was gimmicky. Now that I re-enabled it after realizing what it can do, it's never going off and it is a staple part of my daily use of the phone. My iPhone user friends asked me to get on Fortnite the other day. I don't really have a console anymore. Guess what I did? I downloaded it on my phone and I was able to play with them. I make this video because a lot of people are going to be making the switch as the new Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra comes out and I just wanted to say be patient and to actually use the customization. Because bone stock, the phone isn't that great, but after you set it up for yourself and how you like to use it, it's amazing. It feels like a new phone every day.
