I just wrote this story for Loop, and it's definitely blowing up on social right now. So let's talk about it. I've been living in New York for 10 years, LA for one, and I just got back from Miami Art Basel, but I do go to Miami like two, three times a year. Miami is spectacle, it's illusion, it's like, oh my god, did you just see that? The cars, the money, the girls, the flexing. It's a very chauvinistic, look at me culture, the nightlife there. I think it's fun, per se, eh, debatable. Let's talk about LA. Obviously I've been no stranger to criticizing LA nightlife in the past year, if you've seen any of my other content. LA is, it's soulless. The nightclubs there, it's just people on their phones, nobody's dancing, nobody talks to each other. People are just literally on their phones. Like I've never seen anything like it. And when I would try to dance, people would give me like nasty looks. But let's talk about New York. New York, obviously I might be a little biased here, but the sheer options in New York, I mean, if you, whatever your mood is, whatever your vibe is, New York has it, you know. You want to go to a bougie club, you want to listen to Latin music, rap music, house music, New York has a spot for you. So I do love that. I also love how New York is the one place that people don't give a shit about you, you know. Like you can be drunk, you can have pizza sauce in your hair, you can be like vomiting on the side of the street, no one gives a shit. So, in conclusion, yes, New York might be cliquey, expensive, and exhausting, but in terms of nightlife, escapism, and an antidote to reality, it wins. It's the most alive nightlife scene in the US.
