500 days later Day 500 of building a private equity firm and this is where the Day 500 of building a private equity firm real story actually begins Day 500 of building a private equity firm real story actually begins of building a private equity company from scratch when I started this series we didn't even own one home service business we were just curious learning and studying the space very interested in it fast forward 500 days and now we have three separate local home service company holdings in Central Florida where I live each invested in three completely different ways one minority equity deal one revenue share deal and one majority equity deal with asset backed growth and honestly it's been a wild ride there were pivots misses deals that didn't work and completely change the trajectory of what we're building I've had some high highs and some low lows and what I've realized is this these short videos are great and they've actually opened a lot of doors but they don't give enough room for nuance private equity isn't just buying companies it's really building systems deploying capital acquiring assets you don't yet have the war chest for and using those faster than cash flow alone would allow and it's the same buying or partnering with help you grow sooner not later so this isn't the but it is the end of the short form format for now I'm moving this series to long form YouTube videos where I can actually show you running and growing these three holdings day to day in depth for you and how we plan to expand them if these videos some of the next ones are already live check out the link in my bio subscribe on YouTube and tune in for the much deeper story cheers to 500 days let's keep building
