The big AI companies might be screwed. I'm not even kidding. Kimi K2.5 just completely flipped the entire AI industry on its head. This guy is basically running it for free on his equipment. This is absurd. Beating the close weight models on many benchmarks. Because as you guys know, the alternative is like a 200 dollar max plan that you still run out of. Like look in the background. On Open Router, 11% the cost of Opus 4.5. This is so good for the world and for us developers who are gouging our grocery budgets to be able to keep up. If you are an open AI engineer or an anthropic engineer, how do you sleep at night? It seems so clear that these open weight models are gonna win.
