one of my most embarrassing thoughts as a beginner developer was thinking that the people who designed AWS must be dumb because there's no way that publishing a website has to be this complex. I was like a couple weeks into this free internship and one of my first tasks was to deploy our react app to AWS. So I'm thinking like come on, I figured out how to code javascript, I can deploy an app. I was imagining an interface like heroku, right? Like I have the folder to my react app, can't I just drag it, drop it and publish the site? And so I log into AWS and there's no publish website button. I search and there's all these different services that sound like the same things, like ECS and EC2 and App Engine, unless that's a different one. And so I told myself, one day I will create the solution that all developers are looking for. The naivety of a beginner. But at the same time, there has to be an easier way to do this.
