How about a senior guided walker? 73 million reasons why being a senior guided walker is an amazing way to make 5k a month. Just a side note if you didn't know, 73 million is how many baby boomers we have in the United States. Before I forget again, my name is Rosanna. I share all the ways that you can make extra money that you've never thought of and right now I'm in the midst of a series where people comment whatever random business they have an idea for and I share all the ways they can get it to 5k a month. Comment your business below, but in the meantime, we're going to get back to this amazing service. First and foremost, let's talk positioning. You are not positioning yourself as I walk your mom and dad or your grandma and grandpa. No. You are positioning this as wellness support for independent seniors. That means you are providing safety, you are providing accountability, you are providing family peace of mind. You are providing social connection and light movement support. And also, 10 out of 10 recommend you become CPR certified. Get liability insurance, create a simple contract as well as a waiver form. You can work with Chat GPT on some of the language on that, but I do recommend you have a professional look at it before you roll it out to clients. Also, make sure to form an LLC. Once you really take on that positioning and make sure you have those certifications in place, then it allows you to charge up to $50 a walk. And whether that's 30 minutes of walking and 30 minutes of companionship or 45 minutes and 15, it doesn't matter. The point is you cap it at an hour. And if you are doing three walks per client a week, that's 150 a week per client. That means you really only need 10 clients on a recurring basis doing three walks a week to be at 5k a month. Now let's talk about where you find them. Assisted living communities, 55 plus communities, physical therapy offices, churches, estate planning attorneys, Facebook groups for adult children caregivers, care.com, Nextdoor, and local Facebook neighborhood groups. And do not overcomplicate your pitch. It is simply, I help independent seniors stay active, safe, and socially engaged through scheduled weekly companion walks. Bam. Now let's talk about my favorite part, social media. Now, you are going to have to get permission in order to do this, but if you can get permission from the senior and their family, you can actually create content around the stories and the anecdotes that you get from these walks. And let me tell you, you're going to get some gems. They have the best stories and they are juicy. So you can also start a series on your social media platforms about the conversations that you have. You don't have to give away anybody's identity, but I would still recommend that you get permission to share any of the details because it's an amazing way to build a following and also promote your business. Not to mention, I just think it's fun for all of us to get a like a window into the stories of these people. If and when you're ready to scale past 5k, the play is not to take on more walks, it's actually to hire and train other people to do walks. You can also create a course or a manual or something or some sort of a guide on how you started your business and the things that made it successful. I really hope you end up doing this and I can't wait to hear how it goes.
