After my last video explaining what a private caregiver is. Everyone started asking me the same question. How to become one. There's more than one way you can work through an agency or you can become a private caregiver like I did and worked directly for a family. A lot of people think you have to be a nurse or a CNA to provide private caregiving support. But many non-medical caregiver roles do not require those licenses. My first ever caregiving job was in 99-year-old. Yes, 99. She was on hospice and she was bed-bound a lot. And I did not have a license. And y'all keep asking me, can I hire y'all? I don't have my own company yet. So here are my three tips that I would do to become a private caregiver. First and foremost, care.com. Care.com is an app that people is on there looking for nannies, looking for caregivers. Go up there, make your profile and you probably have to pay for a background check. It's worth it. Then I would say, make you some flyers, make you some business cards and put them around the town you want to work in. If you want to be a nanny, if you want to be a caregiver like I did and worked directly for a family. I never found a case on social media. As many people that want to be a private caregiver, they need to start their own private caregiving business. Would you rather work for an agency where they find clients for you or would you rather build your own clientele and find your own cases? I love to hear what y'all think.
