A16Z just dropped an article that every software founder must read. And to be honest, it is quite brutal. And it predominantly focuses on the companies that are in the middle, the good, not great. So if you're a company that is growing, good but not great. If you're a company that is kinda profitable but not really, um, your time is up. So for these companies there are only two paths. The one is to basically revamp your product to build AI native skews in the upcoming 12 months and increase rapidly your revenue by 10 basis points. The second option, if you think that you are basically just going to bolt AI, it's not going to work. You need to become profitable and efficient fast. Um, they're talking about 40 to 50% of real operations. To me the most interesting thing as a founder is how do you get there? So, um, in the article they talk about finding five people in your org, no matter how senior or junior they are, and uh, operating under the assumption that these people combined are gonna 100X the output. And this is basically not just, you know, a org shift, this is a complete culture shift and it's going to be painful. In this time they also talk about the transition from a seat based pricing model into a token based pricing model. They do say that there is still a little bit of time between between 12 to 18 months to everyone adopt this, but you need to start thinking about this model and how you embed it within your business. So curious to hear which path are you thinking about? I'm truly debating.
