Their other posts in the index, biggest breakout first.
I processed over 20 years worth of data points on the most successful entrepreneurs that I know. And I've been in the space for 20 years. And I'm going to tell you it all comes down to this one thing. The one thing that makes the biggest difference between someone who is a consistently super successful entrepreneur, business owner, founder, coach, consultant and everyone else who's brilliant, but it like never catches. Here's the reason. First things first, you're highly likely to be neurodivergent. You probably have ADHD, which is the reason why you're risk tolerant, meaning you'll just bet everything, right? You'll quit your job, you'll really go into something, even though you're thoughtful about it, right? But most people won't do that. Most people are risk averse. You are not, my friend. And you're also highly creative and magnetic and charismatic, especially if you're talking about something that you love and that you're passionate in. It's actually really easy for you to get buy-in from other people, which is how I got funding for my businesses, because you're just so passionate and it's completely authentic and so it's contagious. Also, you are probably a non-conformist. Even if you worked in corporate, like I worked in corporate, the last time I had a retirement plan, like you just didn't fit into that structure. You saw too much. Like you could see the truth and it bothered you that people didn't care as much as you did and you care too much. And so you left that structure. Like you don't really kind of like go in the same flow as typical society, typical conventional thinking. Okay, now that we've established that you probably have ADHD, this is where my piece of advice comes in, okay? When I look at, and this is real life information, these are people that I know. And sometimes I've seen their business plans, I've seen their P&L, I've seen, you know, like I've seen all the good and the bad, 20 years, okay? So when I think about the friends and acquaintances I have now who are either still at their business, still doing their business because it's profitable, they've scaled it, or they've kept it exactly how they want it, but it's always been a really solid revenue generating business for them. And when I think about people who maybe this is their second, because they're sold their first, or their third, because they sold their first and second one, or they've just scaled their business so much. So when I think about my highly, highly successful friends, and my friends who are actually equally as brilliant, if not more brilliant, but not as successful, here's the difference. Here is the difference and no one else is going to give you this tea, okay? The main difference is the people who have the more successful businesses continually are the people who are able to manage their ADHD the best. So let me repeat this real quick. The people who are the most successful, consistently, are not the smartest, they're not the most charismatic, they're not the most brilliant marketers, they're not the, they are the people who know their deficiencies in how their brain works and their functioning and they're able to either meet those deficiencies within themselves with a lot of help and counseling or whatever, or they're able to appropriately hire to fill the gaps in those deficiencies. I'll give you two quick examples. One is the founder who is just passionate and has great ideas and is kind of like big picture driven, okay? Their deficiency will be the execution. Their deficiency will be having to do admin work and all the slow, annoying things that don't provide a lot of creative dopamine. So they need to actually focus on their deficiency because their strength just comes naturally to them. And on the other end of the spectrum, I have neurodivergent friends who are so obsessed with systems, so obsessed with creating systems. These are the people that like create the system before they even create the product, before they even know if anybody wants their product. And so they just continuously create the product or the systems behind the product and it's like, you have no buyers, okay? Because their deficiency is the outgoing part, is the marketing, is the getting buy-in. And if you don't work on that part, guess what? There's literally no point of you setting up your system. So my hack for you, dear friend, you're probably watching this as an entrepreneur, you need to know yourself. You need to know where you're super deficient, okay? It could be in finances, it could be in admin, it could be in processes, it could be in marketing, it could be in accounting, it could be, it's probably not all of those things. You're probably strong in like one or two of those areas. Know your strengths and then make sure you fill the gaps in in your deficiencies and then you will be absolutely unstoppable. And the reason why I'm making this video is because I've seen so many people give up too early before they actually even give themselves a chance. And they blame themselves. They're like, why am I so bad at this? I'm just not meant to be a business owner. I can never achieve the vision that I have. Yes, you can. You just need a little help. You just need to look at what you're bad at and your subconscious kind of knows what you're bad at and will actually kind of keep you stuck because it's like, uh no, you can't move forward because these systems or you know, this marketing isn't going to take care of itself. So just be honest or ask your friends, like, hey, what am I really bad at that I really need to work on so that I can make my business successful? And you'll be shocked, like everyone knows the answer. I know this is a horrible motivational video, but this is all to tell you, do not give up. You haven't even truly given yourself a chance because so few of us realize that we're neurodivergent and even fewer of us actually have had the resources to help us become more holistic and to really be able to kind of compensate for some areas where we're not as brilliant in. So give yourself a chance, don't give up, just get help.
