we are in Kathmandu, Nepal and I'm making this video for anyone that's doing Everest Base Camp soon to let you know that you do not need to stress at home about getting all of your supplies and making sure that you have everything because Kathmandu has literally everything you could possibly need so many shops so, so, so many but there's one that was absolutely amazing and we ended up buying all of this from that one store so I'll see if I can find the name and put that somewhere so that you can save it if you are planning to do some shopping when you get here so I got some basics the t-shirts that I brought over here are cotton not the right thing to be hiking in I've been told so I just got some basic t-shirt layers gloves liner gloves and these ones for when we get closer to the summit headlamp one of the mornings we're doing a sunrise hike so we need this for when it's dark but it's just for one of the days so this was super cheap like three Australian dollars I don't know hiking poles someone did tell me that they bought their hiking poles in Kathmandu and they broke on the first day of the hike. so hopefully that doesn't happen most exciting purchases are the jackets that we got I brought a down jacket from home but I didn't have an a waterproof outer layer so we got two of the same in two different colours this is the red one waterproof amazing perfect so these are the jackets that we will take in our backpacks while we're hiking during the day so that's everything, so now we're gonna pack everything into our duffle bags that the tour company has given us to use and then go to bed really early because we have to be up at 4:00am I think tomorrow morning to get the flight into Lukla airport. moral of the story is that if you're planning a trip don't stress about packing because you'll be totally fine once you get here bye
