I got my first video editing clients five months ago. Here's how you can get yours in just one month following these two steps. Step one, niche down. Most people go into video editing trying to learn it all. All the styles, all the effects. That's exactly why these stay. Because when people hire you for a project, people want a specialist, not a generic. What this means is we only need to be good at one inch. Understand that? It's easy way to speak with video editing. side beforehand what kind of clients you want to work with. And research the kind of anything they need for their content. Whatever niche it may be, blog, talking head, documentary, that one niche and learn the fundamentals of that editing stuff and practice editing those kinds of videos. Step two, post your practice. So by now you'll probably have tons of videos from practicing that one stuff. Next, you take your very best edits and you post them on the platform of your choice. But don't just only post the edits like a new beginner. At the beginning of the edits, I had a short video of yourself explaining you learning that editing stuff. And at the end of the edit, ask for feedback and ask how you can actually make the edits better. Now, you are going to keep repeating this process and keep posting your edits, showing your face and then showing your work. Eventually, people are going to associate you with that specific style of editing. And the next time someone has seen your content needs an editor in that style, they will immediately think of you and they will reach out to you first. And obviously, because you've spent weeks learning just that one specific style, you can completely deliver on whatever projects that they have for you. I know because this is exactly how it works for me. And if you want to see more videos like this, make sure to pull me on my journey to $10,000 as a video editor and I'll see you guys tomorrow.
