I sincerely did not realise that consultancy and how to start doing consulting was so gate kept. This is a little chaotic but bear with me okay? Very simple. Number one, I talked to ChatGPT, I talked to Claude and I said here is my resume. I took that information and then I went to Notion and created a board essentially saying, hey, this is everything I'm able to offer your company. Let's work together, here's how much I'll charge you. Then I took that board, I took a link and I texted it to five people in my phone. I texted it to someone who I know does fractional work, I texted it to someone who I know is a founder, an early stage founder, I texted it to another friend of mine who is a VP of talent for multiple early stage startups and was just like, hey, I know you're pretty well connected, if you see anyone who might use, you know, some of these fractional capabilities, let me know. From the text that I sent out, I got one referral. So one person who was like, hey, let me connect you with my dude. Boom, that was my first client. Second, I applied on Upwork to a creative agency that was looking for someone to build out their operations and go to market. Those are my two clients right now. It's a long story short, but it took me probably about two or three weeks to fully interview, to find, you know, a match. The imposter syndrome I feel is like, am I ready to teach anyone when I'm still learning? One of the reasons why I don't talk about the how I did it is because I still feel like I'm not fully where I wanna be, so I don't know if I'm ready to teach somebody.
