Hey, I'm getting my braces removed. And this whole thing started because of a girl I like. So I try to see what my teeth would look like. Yeah, this doesn't look good. And neither does this. I really just can't wait to see the real thing. Let's go get my braces removed. After years of metal in my mouth, it all comes off. I got to the appointment, I sat in the chair and my orthodontist hit me with the magic words. "you're good to go!" I'm excited, but I'm also nervous. But there's no turning back. They grabbed the tools and start popping off the brackets. And in less than two minutes, it's over. Just like that. The braces are gone. I ran my tongue over my teeth for the first time. But why do they feel so big? Now they're installing the permanent retainers. Starting with the bottom first, and then the top. Then they clean everything up by scrubbing off all the leftover glue. I brushed my teeth and now the moment of truth. I'm not gonna lie, I started thinking about that moment again. We were just passing each other, quick eye contact. And I actually turned around and said something. We talked a lot. And it's crazy how one small moment can turn into something real. That's why I like the idea of once more.
